Business Development Manager for energy utilities, Sofia

Job summary:
The role of a Business Development manager for energy utilities is to pursue the realization of projects and key partnerships with energy stakeholders in the area of demand response, customer engagement, energy efficiency. We are looking for a person who understands today’s transformation of energy markets and will be able to identify potential areas to apply smart home technologies in energy companies. The ideal candidate has the skills to analyze energy policies and industry development, communicate between all stakeholders' interests while driving sales impact and influence across the region. If you are self-dependent, proactive creator of opportunities willing to work alongside smart home industry-leaders, then this might be the call for you.

Responsibilities:  
  • Identify key energy markets with potential for applying smart home technologies in grid management and customer behaviour programs
  • Establish key partnerships with industry professional organisations
  • Find and communicate with the right experts from energy companies
  • Prepare professional content on MClimate’s business cases

Minimum qualifications:
  • Excellent written and spoken business English
  • Bsc in Business, Economics, Energy and another relevant major
  • A 3+ years of a proven record as a business developer or a corresponding position

Preferred qualifications:
  • 5+ years of a proven record as a business developer in an international tech company
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to thrive within a fast-paced young company with aggressive sales environment
  • Strong organizational and management skills  
  • Experience working in / with energy company  
  • Experience working with smart & connected products
